In this month's Autism & Asperger's Digest (May/June 2008), there is a feature article entitled "Autism Training for First Responders" which details how Autism ALERT, Inc. came into existence, as well as the many aspects of the training program I offer today. In it, I discuss interaction guidelines for first responders and common scenarios police, fire, and EMS may encounter. I also give parents information on steps they can take to keep their children safe. The article will be available for electronic distribution after July 1st.Autism & Asperger's Digest is an excellent publication for caregivers and contains many useful articles on everything related to autism spectrum disorders. Articles come from parents and well as professionals, giving it a well-rounded feel with lots of useful information.
