Wisconsin Trauma Conference

The Wisconsin Division of the American Trauma Society held it's annual conference at Hotel Mead in Wisconsin Rapids. The conference was well attended and boasted a broad range of participants including EMTs and paramedics, nurses, clinicians, physicians, police and fire, 911 dispatchers, social workers, educators, and much more.

I was fortunate to co-present with Lisa Peck, a child life specialist from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Children's Hospital. Together we spoke to over 100 participants on effective ways to interact and communicate with individuals with autism, Down's syndrome, and cerebral palsy.

The audience asked fantastic questions and shared heart-felt personal and professional stories that enhanced everyone's experiences. Many thanks to all who attended.
